Jump Start

If I jump start my car that has a broken alternator & turn it off… Will it start without another jump?

I have a Ford Explorer with a new battery. I drove it not knowing that my alternator was shot and the car died. If I jump start the car: 1) How long do I need to charge the battery to keep it running? 2) If I turn it off, will it restart without another jump? THANK YOU!

There is no solid answer for this question… The amount of time your car will run and whether or not it will start again after running for a period of time depends on quite a few different things.. Amount of charge and distance driven… stuff like that. As far as how long to charge it just a full charge on your battery charger (if you must keep driving it that way) or most car parts stores will charge it for free. -Auto Zone.. O’Reily.. places like that. I recommend not using your radio or any other extra electrical devices on your drives to help save power. Best of luck to you.
