How do I change the drive letters of removable storage?

I want to change the drive letters of the removable storage (ex. Compact Flash, SD…) They don’t appear in disk management so how do I change the drive letters. the card reader is mounted inside the computer and the hsrd drive is external. I want the hard drive partitions before the removable storage. The removable storage is empty, but I would like to be able to use it with my compact flash card from my digital camera every once in a while. All help is appreciated. Thanks

If you have Windows XP or Windows 2000, plug in the Harddrive, go to my computer icon, right click, choose manage, the computer management console will open, once it does, go to Storage – Disk Management, there all your drives should appear, as well as their assigned letter.

To change the letter right click any of them and choose “Change Drive letter and paths…”

Remember you cannot assign the same letter to two drives connected at the same time. My suggestion is move removable storage to letter towards the end. This setting should be saved for future uses.
